Speaker Bios:
Dr. Nicola Mason, B.Vet.Med, PhD, is a veterinarian, professor, principal investigator, but, above all, an animal lover. Her goal is to bring cutting-edge research to your pet, from bench to bedside. She runs a translational research laboratory that focuses on ways to train the immune system to recognize and kill cancers in veterinary species. Her research in immunotherapy has opened many new options for treating previously difficult disease.
Kristy L. Weber, MD leads the Penn Sarcoma program–a collaborative basic/translational research program between Penn Medicine, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Penn Vet. This team is focused on developing new approaches to diagnosing and treating pediatric and adult bone and soft tissue tumors including Ewing sarcoma and osteosarcoma. The ultimate goal…
